We met at Peggy's in Parker and all drove together to Old Colorado City nestled at the foot of Pike's Peak, first stopping at the Village Inn for brunch and to celebrate Cathy Y.'s birthday.

Cathy Opens her gifts:

We drove through the Garden of The Gods on the way to Old Colorado City, stopping for a picture or two:

Above left is the "Kissing Camels" formation you can barely see on the left top of the ridge.

One of the first stops in Old Colorado City was the Chocolate Factory:

It was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed walking and shopping.

Below is Pioneer Park with the horse and carriage ride:

We stopped in the Michael Garman Studios and toured the Miniature Village:

These were so amazing! Like a real city! You could look through the tiny windows and see people inside their homes, eating dinner, watching TV, playing cards, etc. Some of the alleys would suddenly become solid walls! This was done with Holograms which could be found throughout the village - the pictures below don't really do it justice - you have to see it!

At First Glance - an Alley: ..................... Then the Hologram jumps in and there is a "solid" wall:

Shopping at the Cat's Castle - an all cat store:

All too quickly it was time to go.

So we're back in Peggy's Van to head home.

Stopping for dinner in Castle Rock (of course). It was great fun!
